Two Hands Wines Bella's Garden 2013, Barossa Valley, Australia

49.70

Bella's Garden, from the Garden Series, is a blend of finest Shiraz barrels from across the Barossa Valley region. This is a sumptuous wine, defined by its aromatic complexity and finesse.

This bold Shiraz hits the palate with power and presence. Lashings of dark fruit with notes of incense and aromatic spices, floral hints add layers and complexity. The wine rolls across the palate coating every corner of your mouth. Dense and chewy tannins compliment the fruit nicely, which tighten through the finish adding a savoury graphite note. Incredibly long and complex through the finish, this is quintessential Barossa Valley.

AWARDS AND REVIEWS

94 Points by Winespectator - Supple and velvety, with generous flavours of plum, fresh currant and spice, hinting at coffee and cream as the finish lingers effortlessly against refined tannins. This has presence, harmony and persistence. The finish lasts and lasts. Best from 2017 through 2023. 2,500 cases made.

TWO HANDS WINES

Two Hands Wines idea was formed in 1999 by two friends, Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz. Their first vintage was in 2000, after a modest $30k investment and starting with just 17 tonnes of fruit bought. And the journey started! Very soon, they got the attention internationally and Robert Parker named Two Hands ‘’the finest negociant south of the equator’’. Currently, they have several vineyards in best regions of Australia. In November 2012, Two Hands was named in the Wine Spectator’s annual Top 100 for the 10th consecutive year, an achievement no other winery over the world received. They are unique, fun and innovative in their business approach while maintaining a high degree of professionalism and integrity. Two Hands wines prove that Shiraz from Australia, in addition to the intense flavours, can also have the purity and depth.       They produce five different series of wine, Flagship Series, Single Vineyard Series, Garden Series, Picture Series and TwelveTree Wines. You can find best examples of their wines in our store from three of the series, Dave's Block Single Vineyard Shiraz, Bella's Garden Shiraz, Angel's Share Shiraz and Sexy Beast Cabernet Sauvignon here.
