Two Hands Wines Angel's Share Shiraz 2016, McLaren Vale, Australia

Angel's Share Shiraz is from the picture series of Two Hands Wines. The mouthfeel starts very dense and smooth. Along the palate, remarkable aroma density, which is built up in different layers. Tight tannins are balanced by a fleshy fruit. It follows a long-lasting finish with excellent precision. Great Shiraz from McLaren Vale for a great value!

The term Angels Share describes the "share of angels" in the wine. This refers to the amount that escapes from the oak barrels during maturation. This evaporated portion is not only dedicated to the angels in Australia, in France it is also called "La Part des Anges" . Originally this term comes from the whiskey distillery.

TWO HANDS WINES

Two Hands Wines idea was formed in 1999 by two friends, Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz. Their first vintage was in 2000, after a modest $30k investment and starting with just 17 tonnes of fruit bought. And the journey started! Very soon, they got the attention internationally and Robert Parker named Two Hands ‘’the finest negociant south of the equator’’. Currently, they have several vineyards in best regions of Australia. In November 2012, Two Hands was named in the Wine Spectator’s annual Top 100 for the 10th consecutive year, an achievement no other winery over the world received. They are unique, fun and innovative in their business approach while maintaining a high degree of professionalism and integrity. Two Hands wines prove that Shiraz from Australia, in addition to the intense flavours, can also have the purity and depth.       They produce five different series of wine, Flagship Series, Single Vineyard Series, Garden Series, Picture Series and TwelveTree Wines. You can find best examples of their wines in our store from three of the series, Dave's Block Single Vineyard Shiraz, Bella's Garden Shiraz, Angel's Share Shiraz and Sexy Beast Cabernet Sauvignon here.
