Domaine Tempier, Bandol, Provence, France 2014

Domaine Tempier, Bandol, Provence, France 2014

A deep, ruby colour, aromas of dark fruit, intense smooth tannins. Domaine Tempier's 2014 is already showing tertiary aromas of leather and forest-floor but has at least ten more years ahead. The wine is traditionally made without using herbicides, chemical fungicides. Low yields for full potential. Hand harvested, carried in small bins, hand selected grapes. Fermented with natural yeast, aged 18-20 months in large oak casks and bottled without fining or filtering.

16,50 points, Jancis Robinson- Pretty lively and gassy. Racy and clean. Very warm and yet with sufficient acid.
