On the nose, scents of strawberries mix pleasantly with spicy and woody aromas, which come from the wine being matured traditionally in oak. This wine is very nicely balanced on the palate. Its rich juicy palate blends perfectly with its tannins, giving a wine full of body. Produced around 1,400 cases.

2015 is not rated yet however here is Jancis Robinson's review for 2014, keeping in mind that 2015 was an excellent vintage compared to difficult 2014.

(for 2014) Julia Harding for Jancis Robinson, 16,5 Points: Mid cherry red. Bags of deep red fruit here, just a touch spicy. Definite but rounded tannins, with just a slight chew and harmonious freshness at the end."

Dom Faiveley.jpg

Domaine Faiveley, founded in 1825 in the village of Nuits-Saint Georges in Burgundy, is one of the largest domaines in Burgundy. It has made its name with red wines made from the Pinot Noir grape.

Traditional winemaking with a modern twist is key in the production of wines from Domaine Faiveley. They have more than 10 hectares of Grand Crus and nearly 25 hectares of Premier Crus however the vineyards are very fragmented. The average surface area per appellation is around just 1 hectare. The number of bottles produced for each wine is therefore very limited.
