Anne-Sophie Dubois Fleurie l'Alchimiste, Beaujolais 2015

Anne-Sophie Dubois, one of the young winemakers of Beaujolais, farms the vines organically, minimal intervention in winemaking, cement vats and neutral oak casks are used for fermentation and ageing. The result? Wines full of fruit and finesse. The wine has floral aromas of roses, violets and flavours of strawberries, cherries, blackcurrant with white pepper.

91 points, Neal Martin for Robert Parker - "The 2015 Fleurie l'Alchimiste was 50% destemmed and after a three-week maceration spent ten months in oak and cement casks. It has a relatively opulent bouquet, but that is matched by its purity and delineation, luscious blueberry and blackcurrants ahoy. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, ripe and quite rounded black fruit dominating towards the caressing, lightly spiced finish. This is delicious."

Anne-Sophie Dubois is one of the young generations of rising star vignerons in Beaujolais. She was born in Champagne and had winemaking experience in Volnay, Burgundy where her style that has depth and aromatic complexity comes from. Organically grown vines and minimal intervention in winemaking.
