AWARDS AND REVIEWS

Antonio Galloni: "Meticulous attention to farming and winemaking places Agrapart at or near the top of Champagne’s finest artisan growers. These remain some of the most fascinating wines in the region. Pascal Agrapart embodies the best of the artisan tradition in Champagnes, and his wines show it."

92 Points, Antonio Galloni: "Agrapart’s NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Terroirs is another fabulous wine. Here it is the combination of tension and weightlessness that is especially appealing. Sweet floral notes and a suggestion of mint meld into white orchard fruit in this effortless, totally gracious wine. All the elements meld together on the seamless, crystalline finish."

PRODUCT DETAILS

Agrapart & Fils:  Founded in 1894, Agrapart & Fils has become one of the finest grower estates in the Côte des Blancs. The geographic location of their spread over 12 hectar vineyards right in the heart of the Champagne region and in the Grand Cru villages is exceptional. His 10ha of vines lie largely in the grand cru villages of Avize, Cramant, Oiry and Oger. Agrapart & Fils offers constant quality of wines known for their individual style of grower champagnes. Their biodynamic approach of ploughing and ‘’home-made’’ compost encourage the rooting and the microbial life of the soil, fermentation with the indigenous yeast from the grapes and a long ageing on the lees in oak barrels gives wines a character. While it is not stated in the label, vines are cared according to natural rhythms and sensibilities, without any chemical pesticides or herbicides. Agrapart always ferments his wines with indigenous yeasts, which he feels is crucial to the expression of terroir, and a portion of the wines are aged in old, 600-litre oak casks.
